Explore the power of poetry through historic black-and-white photography featured in Crafting Sanctuaries: Black Spaces of the Great Depression South. Kansas City–based poet Glenn North leads close looking, guided prompts, and group discussion to help writers of all experience levels translate visual history into poetic language as a restorative practice. Participants are encouraged to share their work later that evening at the Stanzas Are Sanctuaries Poetry SLAM. This workshop is for ages 16+.
