Explore the Historic Sanctuary of Yuma Street
This guided tour presented in collaboration with the Yuma Street Cultural Center connects themes from Crafting Sanctuaries, the Dean Mitchell exhibition, and the What Is Sanctuary? history space with Manhattan’s architectural past. Begin with a 30-minute gallery discussion led by a museum educator, then travel by mini-bus and foot to key sites along Yuma Street. Local historian Dave Baker shares insights into the people and places that shaped the neighborhood’s legacy of home and community. MoA+L and Black Entrepreneurs of the Flint Hills members receive 10% off. Space is limited. Tour tickets include museum admission to floors 2 & 3.
