Foster your creative potential in this after-hours experience devoted to exploring a work of art on view in the museum and particular media—while socializing with friends and enjoying snacks and drinks. This evening’s activity will be inspired by the Dean Mitchell original landscape paintings on view in our Fine Art (and elsewhere digitally in our immersive exhibition space) and real landscape view of the Kaw River! Participants will receive brief context about the artist, a ‘kit” of materials, and instruction for creating a landscape composition using torn paper collage. Tickets include one cocktail and snacks in addition to materials. Live music will be performed from 6-8 p.m.by Dr. G’s Jazz Quartet.
