Double Play! is a special mash-up of MoA+L’s Creative Play + Cocktails and the Beach Museum of Art’s Double Take, a gallery-based conversation designed to help viewers slow down, look closely, and discover more than first meets the eye.

This adults-only evening brings together art exploration, creative play, live music, drinks, and conversation in the relaxed setting of Café Azul.

Create a Surrealist-inspired collaged postcard or notecard using the work and image of Pablo Picasso as inspiration. No art experience is needed. Just bring your curiosity and be ready to play.

From 6:30-7:15 p.m., museum educators Nate McClendon and Kristy Peterson will lead a seated gallery conversation in Café Azul. The discussion will feature one artwork from each museum, as the group takes a closer look and unpacks what may be hiding in plain sight.

Enjoy live music before and after the conversation, perfect your collage, and explore original artwork throughout MoA+L’s digital and fine art galleries after hours.

Includes one drink ticket, snacks, art materials, live music, and access to the digital and fine art galleries on floors two and three.
